The Souldiers are a unique group of young musicians with an eclectic background in varying styles of folk, New orleans funk, soul and rhythm and blues. Focussing on both the tradition of this music as well as drawing influence and creating original material inspired by it, the Souldiers aim to develop their own sound in similar fashion to “the Band” who took notice and paid respect to the rich musical heritage of American folk and popular music.

Welcome at the new Souldiers website!
 Half of the Band will be spread over the world this month (California, New Sealand, Thailand and Cuba) so we have a sabatical winter month, but our management is busy getting gigs for the spring and summer. We also really wanna go back to the States the next summer so we are trying to make it happen!

Dance to the Music


The summer of 2008 has been rather eventfull for us and we'd like to share some of our experiences on this new website.
We finished our first demo release of wich you can listen to tracks, if you use the mp3 player here at the left. We spend much of the year preparing for our first tour to the US, you can check out pictures and video footage of the Portland Blues Festival, documented roadmovie clips and several other places and venues in the American Northwest.
The summer ended for us back in Amsterdam on 'de Parade', fortunatly some friends filmed the show.
The new material will be uploaded soon, so keep visiting this site! Till that moment you have to do with the old material of last year...
